Our subscriptions app just moved us to a plan that costs 3x for the same 400 subscribers. Looking at alternatives this week, open to recommendations from other Shopify stores.
Post on X · publicStores ready to switch apps, carriers or 3PLs, the week they say it.
Kateion finds online stores that say in public they want to switch a Shopify or WooCommerce app, a shipping carrier, a 3PL or their platform, usually after a price increase, an outage or poor support. App makers, 3PLs and e-commerce agencies get a weekly list filtered to their category, each entry linked to the post.

- App price increase
- Carrier or 3PL problems
- Platform fee change
- Account suspension
- App shut down or acquired
- Asking for alternatives
A merchant complaining about an app’s new price is ready to switch that week.
Store owners talk openly about their tools. When a review app doubles its price or a 3PL loses a week of orders, they ask other merchants what to use instead, and they usually decide quickly.
Those posts are buried among consumer complaints about late parcels. Kateion keeps only the businesses, filters to the category you sell, and links each one to what the merchant actually said.
A public post becomes a checked lead, with the evidence attached.
Every entry in your weekly list looks like the card on the right. You read the post yourself, so you know exactly what the company said before you reach out.

Kateion watches X, the open web and public forums for businesses at a moment: a price change, an outage, a deprecation, a hire, or a plain “what should we use instead?”.
- Every post
Verify
Each post is read and scored for fit, timing, intent and confidence. Consumers, jokes and anonymous accounts are dropped. A person checks what is left.

Clean by design, so you can use it with a clear conscience.
- Public posts only. Only what a business wrote about itself, in public. No private data, no bought lists.
- Link, don’t copy. Every entry links to the original post. We quote a line at most.
- A person at every contact. Nothing is sent automatically, by us or for you. People write to people.
- Removed on request, same day. Anyone can ask to be taken out, and every buyer is asked to honour it.

Frequently asked
Do you include consumer complaints?
No. A shopper complaining about a late parcel is not a lead. Kateion keeps only businesses, and each entry says how the store was identified.
Can I get only my category?
Yes. The feed is filtered to what you sell, for example only subscription apps, only shipping and fulfilment pain, or only merchants leaving a specific platform.
Which platforms do you cover?
Shopify, WooCommerce and other store platforms and marketplaces, wherever merchants talk about them in public.
Do you handle payments-related complaints?
No. Kateion does not cover payment processing. The e-commerce feed is about apps, platforms, shipping and fulfilment.
What does it cost?
One week free, then from €500 a month. Cancel any time.
Which moments do you look for?
App price increases, carrier or 3PL problems, platform fee changes, account suspensions, apps that shut down or get acquired, and store owners asking for alternatives.
How do you know it is a real store?
We keep posts where the store can be identified from the account, the post itself or a linked website. Anonymous posts are dropped, because we never guess who is behind an account.
Can agencies use this feed?
Yes. E-commerce agencies use it to find stores that need a new app stack, a migration or help after a platform change.
How fresh are the leads?
Each list covers the past week. A store replacing an app or a carrier usually decides quickly, so old posts are dropped rather than padded into the list.
Do you contact the stores for us?
No. You decide whether and how to reach out, under your own name. Nothing is ever sent to a store automatically.
Does a person check every lead?
Yes. Software finds and scores candidates, then a person reviews each one. Only leads marked good go into your list, and nothing is ever sent to a business automatically.
What is in each lead?
The company, the moment it is in, why now, how we know who it is, and the link to its own public post, so you can read the evidence before you reach out.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. The pilot ends by itself. After that you are billed monthly in advance and can cancel at the end of any month, with no notice period.
What if my market is not listed?
Ask for a custom feed. Tell us who you sell to and what makes a company ready to buy from you, and we will investigate what is publicly out there and propose a plan and price.
