For HR and recruiting software vendors

Teams shopping for a new ATS or HRIS, before the renewal is signed.

Kateion finds companies and agencies that say in public they want to replace their applicant tracking system, HRIS or job board, usually after a renewal price shock, an outage, a forced migration or poor support. HR and recruiting software vendors get a weekly list, each entry linked to the original post.

Free for one week, then from €500 a month. Cancel any time.

Moments we watch for
  • Renewal price shock
  • Forced migration
  • Outage
  • Support problems
  • Missing features
  • Asking for alternatives
The problem

HR software is sold on annual contracts, so the switching window is short and easy to miss.

A head of people who posts “our ATS renewal went up 40%, what are you all using?” is weeks from a decision. After the contract is signed, they are gone for another year.

There are fewer of these posts than in dev tools, but each one is worth more. Kateion watches for them continuously so you see the window while it is open.

What you receive

A public post becomes a checked lead, with the evidence attached.

Every entry in your weekly list looks like the card on the right. You read the post yourself, so you know exactly what the company said before you reach out.

ATS renewal quote just landed, 40% up and they want a 2-year term. 35 people, hiring 10 this year. What are other small teams using that doesn’t fight you?

The solution

Find, verify, deliver. Every week.

  1. Every day

    Find

Kateion watches X, the open web and public forums for businesses at a moment: a price change, an outage, a deprecation, a hire, or a plain “what should we use instead?”.

  2. Every post

    Verify

Each post is read and scored for fit, timing, intent and confidence. Consumers, jokes and anonymous accounts are dropped. A person checks what is left.

  3. Every week

    Deliver

You get one short list a week, on the same day. Every entry has the link to the post, why it matters now, and how we know who it is.

The rules we work by

Clean by design, so you can use it with a clear conscience.

  • Public posts only. Only what a business wrote about itself, in public. No private data, no bought lists.
  • Link, don’t copy. Every entry links to the original post. We quote a line at most.
  • A person at every contact. Nothing is sent automatically, by us or for you. People write to people.
  • Removed on request, same day. Anyone can ask to be taken out, and every buyer is asked to honour it.

Questions

Frequently asked

Which tools do you track?

Whichever ones you win customers from. Tell us the ATS, HRIS or job boards you compete with, and the search is tuned to them.

Is the volume high enough to be useful?

There are fewer posts than in dev tools, but each switch is worth an annual contract. Judge it by the quality of the pilot list.

Do you include personal contact details?

No. We link to the public post and say how the company was identified. We never sell private emails or phone numbers.

What does it cost?

One week free, then from €500 a month. Cancel any time.

Which moments do you look for?

Renewal price shocks, forced migrations, outages, support problems, missing features, and teams asking what others use instead.

Do you include employees complaining about their HR tool?

Only when the post shows the company is likely to act, for example an HR lead or admin asking for alternatives. Individual gripes with no sign of a decision are filtered out.

Can I focus on a company size or region?

Yes. Tell us who you sell to and we weight the list towards it, using only what the company has made public about itself.

How should I reach out?

Under your own name, with one useful point about the problem they described, and without a hard pitch. Never message in bulk or automatically, and stop if they ask.

How many leads will I get each week?

Fewer than in developer tools, because HR teams post less often, but each switch is usually an annual contract. The pilot shows you the real volume first.

Does a person check every lead?

Yes. Software finds and scores candidates, then a person reviews each one. Only leads marked good go into your list, and nothing is ever sent to a business automatically.

What is in each lead?

The company, the moment it is in, why now, how we know who it is, and the link to its own public post, so you can read the evidence before you reach out.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. The pilot ends by itself. After that you are billed monthly in advance and can cancel at the end of any month, with no notice period.

What if my market is not listed?

Ask for a custom feed. Tell us who you sell to and what makes a company ready to buy from you, and we will investigate what is publicly out there and propose a plan and price.
